Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter

Hello!  I am looking for advice on recapping what has been implemented from a World Cafe one year ago.  Basically, we want to be able to showcase all of the ideas that were implemented from this one activity over the past year.  Any words of wisdom?

Thank you,

Jayme

Hi Jayme,

I think you're getting at an interesting question about what an ongoing harvesting process might look like, and in trying to respond to your note I find myself wanting more information about your event and your desired outcomes...

What kinds of things have been implemented since your World Cafe? Did you have a graphic professional at your event? What was the initial harvest like? What was the context for the original World Cafe and any follow up activities? Who are you recapping for, and what would you ideally like the recapping to provide or catalyze?
Hi Amy,

Thank you for writing back. I cannot seem to find the graphic of the harvest from last year, but the main question was at a sales conference around "How might we increase the participants in our youth programs by 2015?" There were many ideas that were implemented over the past year and now it is once again time for the annual sales conference. I am looking for a 15 minute way to share the progress that feels World Cafe-ish but does not require setting up the full scene / process. I basically want the participants (about 30) to know that they were heard and something was done with these ideas :). There are some time constraints that I am working with, but I am hoping to be creative.

The conference is Wednesday, so any early-week-insights would be great.

Thank you!!!

Jayme
Hi Jayme!

I hope you were able to find the graphic harvest for last year's World Cafe, which sounds like it was fabulous and led to some really great ideas and actions. I'm curious- how did you end up communicating about it at the annual sales conference? I trust it went well.

It would be wonderful to hear about your experiences in the StoryNet, where hosts and/or participants share stories about the World Cafes they were involved in, so we can all learn from each other.

I'm looking forward to hearing about it!

Warmest Wishes,
Barbara
Really great harvesting questions Amy! I love them!
