Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter
Hi Everyone
I'm so excited about being a part of this wonderful World Wide Community! My name is Patti Williams and I live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area of Texas in a little town called Trophy Club with my husband of 21 years, Ron.
I am an artist and I live to paint. I actually participated in my very first World Cafe at an artists Conference called Wings To The Spirit, in Pensacola Florida in 2007... it was such an awesome experience and I was hooked from the moment the concept was introduced! Just amazing to listen, really listen to others as their minds opened up and all our thoughts were freely flowing without worry of judgement. It was so extraordinary for us all!
The World Cafe has been part of my life since that one experience in Florida. It opened a door that lead to so many different areas in my life that I've practiced the arts I learned in that conference, expanding my artistic ideas and enriching my relationships with friends, family, collegues and business practices. I love the practice of the World Cafe and am always striving to be a better listener, knowing it has the possiblity of making something we "know" into something almost unrecognizable!!!

Hi Patti....what a wonderful reflection on the difference the World Cafe has made in your life. I welcome you most warmly to the community and encourage you to look around to see what conversation groups you might like to be part of....it's a great group gathering from around the globe. We feel honored to have been part of the overall history of this movement. Who could have imagined that when the World Cafe was born in our living room with only 24 people that this could or would have happened!
