Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter
In July 2011, Natasha Dalmia hosted a World Cafe for the World Leadership Conference, Singapore. It was attended by 70+ Youths from 15+ countries at Scape, Singapore and, inspired by the principles and process of the World Cafe, these youth leaders made lasting connections and friendships while learning and expanding their world view. Natasha asked forth if the delegates present in the room identified with the attributes:
Enspirited Leaders work from a sense of true calling
Enspirited Leaders journey in the company of others
Enspirited Leaders live with a spiritual center
Enspirited Leaders demand diversity
Reflective Learning guides enspirited leaders’ lives
Enspirited Leaders work is filled with ambiguity and uncertainty
Harvest: Some of the themes that seemed to emerge as strong foundations from the present group were that of collaboration, community, spaces for youth dialogue and connections, taking lessons back home from the conference to respective countries. Delegates remarked on the comfort levels of sharing diverse ideas and perspectives, various thoughts and personal stories, whilst having fun and considering alternative view points!

Invitations for future conferences on the same subject in their home countries, name cards, email and Facebook ids were soon exchanged in the first break of the conference. Cameras were fished out and everybody was soon captured: people, place, their own harvests, memories!
