Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter
Dear Colleagues,
Recently I have facilitated a World Cafe and an Open Space meeting for the regional coordiantors of the Hungarian Network Against Child-Poverty.
They were really interested and enthusiasted especially about the OST.
Conversation...

A table-note from the cafe
Amongst others one key question triggered them: They quiet open meet people with massive prejudices against gipsy, and poor people in their Sub-regions, settlements. The Childpowerty Program is for these people, so it is really frustrating to work with these doctors, mayors, local policeman, headmasters, and so on.
Obviuosly the Cafe is a great method to get people together, to open them kindly...
...but they (the coordinators) are worried what if massive verbal violence raises or the people with their prejudicec come around tables and their biases and not helpful, destructive menthal modells just strenghtened.
Have you ever organised a cafe in such situation, where minority and majority, poor and rich, afro-americans and xenophobes, gipsies and skinheads, black and white came together?
I would be curious about your experience.
Thank you for sharing,
Best,
Szilard
