Glad to see so many people provide input in our March/April Inquiry Circle conversation. Let's build on this momentum!
We are ready to announce the second "Inquiry Circle" theme, which is on immigration reform. As the Arizona Immigration law has divided many people around the country and the world, we are faced again with questions about how to deal with illegal immigrants in the United States. The question is:
"What is showing up in this issue that can offer us deeper insights on how to develop fair and just immigration policy?"
Feel free to offer ideas and deeper questions that will serve us in exploring such an important issue in today's political/social climate. We will hold a online community cafe near the end of June to harvest and cross-pollinate our findings!
And a special thanks to Adriano Pianese for offering this topic on an earlier post!
I love it Ben - We've done something like that with photographs of the face-to-face tablecloths... cutting out particularly enticing phrases or images and creating collages of them, or in other cases just using them in other contexts. They are a rich source of collective meaning-making, and I love that you started this idea of sending in your doodles. I can't wait to incorporate that into future Community Cafes.
I'm thinking that we need to come up with ways to make it seem more fun and appealing, and perhaps less risky, for the average participant. Easier too, I suppose, although emailing or uploading a jpeg isn't really that hard for many people. And perhaps we could use some simple tech for displaying the "gallery."
