Map

Here is a map created by Benjamin (and Google of course) that shows everyone in our community!
If you find it hard to see everyone in this Google-automated version, you might like to add yourself to the "self-generated" version here.

Unfortunately Google Maps seems not able to show all placemarks, so i invite you to download the TWCpeople.kml-file and open it in Google Earth

Hi Beata, the advanced search function shows me that there are actually six people from Poland. unfortunately this map is not complete as google maps seems to restrict the maximum amount of placemarks. therefore we just installed an application "member map" where people can add there placemarks manually...

Very cool! I would prefer to see a Peters or Gall-Peters projection map that shows the land mass of the continents in proportion. It is very instructive to see how much larger Brazil, for example, or Australia, are on this projection.

thanks everyone, very cool to get visuals of this collective... making it tangible, graspable for our senses... :)
and also aware that not all are on it for some reason... will investigate further. seems the automatic geocoding service did not recognize all locations. and if more than one person is in one city it seems they are hidden behind each other
