Paper being published in OD Practitioner this month on The World Cafe

The January edition of OD Practitioner is a special edition dedicated to DIalogic OD, my field of practice. I have co-authored a paper with Tracy Thompson, PhD of University of Washington on a World Cafe based intervention that I designed and implemented to transform a warring leadership team. The intervention was highly successful. The paper is attached. I highly recommend reading a copy of the new OD Practitioner edition on Dialogic OD if you are interested in this emerging field of practice.…See More

Hi John,
I apologize for my late response but I was waiting for a scheduled conference call with my colleagues before I could reply. I was excited at the possibility of collaborating with you and your colleagues at the Active Aging Conference in LA in December. As you know time and resources are precious. After having discussed the opportunities at the conference for our project, Janet, Moira and I decided to concentrate our on-going planning efforts here in Europe. However I am very interested in the recommendations and results of the conference! How about arranging a call in January 2011 to exchange thoughts? It would be great to touch base personally. All the best for a very successful conference. I look forward to hearing all about it early next year. Warm regards from Munich, Pat

Hey John! I don't see you on the list for this Thursday's WC call so I guess you've got a conflict. Maybe next time. I have a couple of threads up on this site about the questions--I'd be grateful if you could offer your thoughts.

I guess I mean more what do you physically do with the results. I have transcribed them and sorted by question and then written summaries of the major themes. I photograph the artwork and incorporate it into the summary. That seems like the logical way to use the results, but have you seen any other way?

Dear John: I am keeping up with your page. It occurs to me that
as a great grandmother in this country and a great aunt in Canada
I have my own intergenerational conversation (co-generational)
within my own family in two countries!; and am privileged to
be in dialogue with many across the world. Blessings, Anne, Elder, TWC.

Good morning John. Thank you for the friend request. I'm delighted to accept. I am also on an educational journey - a year into my graduate degree at Pepperdine. I applaud you for taking the step to do your PhD. I've heard amazing things about the Fielding program. I'm looking forward to conversations and connections with this community.
