If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
I am a long-time lover and admirer of World Cafe. Our Peaceful World Conversations is the "drop-in everywhere in the world" component of World Cafe. Hospitality venues such as bed & breakfasts, small hotels, hostels, cafes, make it convenient for travelers and locals to find each other.
Our primary focus (not listed below) is Peace Building - actually modeling the kind of world we want.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Health, Education, Religion, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
Peaceful World Conversations aspires to be the globally available "drop-in" network by which World Cafe is known.
In San Francisco we offer Peaceful World Breakfast Conversations at the Red Victorian Peace Center and b&b every Sunday morning at nine. We host and train conversationalists to begin their own weekly Peaceful World Conversations wherever they live.
Our purpose is to foster places and conversations everywhere in the world which bring together locals and travelers who are committed to making a difference, who are inclined to action, who see themselves as thought-leaders and change activists, who recognize the importance of understanding through dialogue and conversation, who have a passion for learning and who value diversity and cultural differences.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
We want to meet volunteer conversation hosts who will commit to building a worldwide network of Peaceful World Conversations where locals and travelers can meet and encourage each other in taking responsibility for the world we share.
