Thank you again for your interest in forum participants.  My website is woefully out of date with none of my current clients and absent my growing interest in international work.  I have been helping international organizations involved in strengthening democratic institutions and hope to continue that work as well as work with unions and non-profits in the US.  I will at some point in the near future check out the WC communities and I know over time I will seek out support from you and others.

Thank you David for welcoming me to the community.  I feel like I know you a little already from reading some of your experiences in Shaping Our Futures Through Conversations that Matter.  And I have been fortunate to get to know Amy Lenzo and Bo Gyllenpalm over the last few months in a course on World Cafe at Fielding.  So I also feel part of the community already and I look forward to deepening my relationships with members of the community and gaining a great deal more experience with World Cafes.

Hey David!  Great to virtually meet!  Yes, Dave Shaw and I have been collaborating on the World Cafe here at UC Santa Cruz, and we're still getting organized.  Me, Jackie Roger, and Dave are the core right now, and we're really making an effort to put together an outreach team so we can make the Cafe run smoothly each week.  How are the cafe forums on your end?  I don't have a harvest to provide on our Mystical Cafe last week, unfortunately, but I hope to have a better organized recap of our next World Cafe  :-)

Kia ora David,

Yes, I have scanned the NZ crew and unfortunately I am not familiar with any at this stage.  Obviously, the goal is to change this over time and hopefully catch up with them for coffee...

Please find attached the link to the article from Dr Vaioleti which provides a nice overview of this concept Talanoa.  Whilst Dr Vaioleti is of Tongan descent, the term Talanoa is a universal concept in the South Pacific, or at least in Niue, Tonga and Samoa.

Talanoa again soon
