Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
Host, Visual Recorder, Sponsor, Participant
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I have lots of experience in planning and hosting -- since the early days of the World Café. I also do illustrations and visual recording and am happy to mentor others, share my art work for others to use, and co-host events.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
I like the idea of making the harvesting as meaningful and useful as possible. I think we can develop the processes we now use to capture more and use it to build one World Café upon another.
Juanita told me that you have experimented something like the concept i have in paris OPENMIND KFE , The venues dedicade for the the new managers coach where the meetings are effectives and "co-built"...
She loves the Ideas , and il will show all the concept at the end of the month.
see below ..
First I made a copyright "openmind kfe" , to protect the idea (and design) all around the world , but i am open to work on it with associates truly involve in the "CO" and world cafe, if needed. ( look www.openhive.eu there is the first step of my idea)
Then I have done a Design Book for the ideal venue for a Manager and his team (small venue 200 square meter max) and i am working with some coach and designer to set up a nice presentation and a business plan for some investor or to my actual shareolder ( i am a small communication agency in internal communication/event)
In the same time , I bought your Book then i have seen the représentative of AI in France and SOLE in France some of your aficionados coach to explain my concept ( everybody said YES! Go for it ) and I test the idea with more than 60 HR or internal communicator in différent kind of organisation and business.
Now i must find "cash "... ( rent the place, fix the design, decoration , accomodation, marketing, commercial web, prospection , partnership etc...) the Space and the " must be different3 , there are lot of venues in Paris .
Objectif : launch the first one in April inside Paris .... launch the 20 th with you guys in 2016 inside NY ( you do love the french touch in design) ....( my dream..)
I will love to share the project with some aficionados , i am not a coach or a consultant , i am a pro of Event and i believe in design and dedicated venues to liberate the ideas and the conversation....
Hi Nancy. Juanita suggested contacting you as someone who has experimented with combining the creative arts and World Cafe. I am really interested in this and have started a discussion asking people to share their experiences and I would love to hear from you. Best wishes, Jasmine
Hi Ellia: We are open to having one of the Al Gore Climate Change Project cafes take place i n Seattle! And I know there is interest. I will forward your offer to Tami Coleman from TCP (she is NYC based) and let her know of your offer.
Nancy - Let's move this idea about moving visual recording from "wall paper" to a central role in the conversation over to the "forum" ... I know there will be a lot of juicy interaction because I am itching to respond to you, and yet I want to have the exchange open to others too, and I don't want them to miss what you've said already. :-)
Hurrah! I'm so glad you're here, and absolutely fascinated by your answer to what matters to you - I'm in Dresden now with Chris Chopyak, Sanine Soeder and a new visual recorder Petra Buhl and the ideas are flying about just this very thing. Let's start a conversation about it because I think there is a LOT that visual recording has to offer to the deepening and evolution of the World Cafe and to how we understand and create collective meaning more broadly.
