The World Cafe Community

Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter

Hello everyone,
In the couple of days since this site has been "live" I want to say that I'm completely amazed and humbled by the places around the world where people are joining in from....Afganistan, India, South Africa, the Netherlands, France, Pakistan, Vietnam, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Japan....the list could go on and on.

And this gives me so much hope seeing that there are so many of you around the world who are hosting conversations that matter in your own unique situations, within your own cultural frames of reference and history....to help create life affirming futures wherever you may find yourself.

I hope you will share your stories, your pictures, your learnings from the Cafes and other dialogues you are hosting....because I do think that we are in a co-evolutionary wave of change where people are realizing that in conversation together we have the opportunity to co-evolve the futures we want rather than being forced to live with the futures we get.

And, it would be wonderful to hear from younger leaders who are hosting conversations in your own settings as we are hoping that the World Cafe will become a true learning field for multi-generational collaboration around the globe on behalf on critical questions that we care about, together....

With warmest regards,
Juanita

Hi Juanita...
I check in to the website occasionally and was surprised this time to see the online community - it's great. I am amazed with you at the reach and spread. I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful work with the World Cafe.. It was introduced to me a few years ago , and this year I used it a few times with a friend Hamidah who met you in the States. The world is very small. I think its really gracious of you to share so freely in these days when so many processes are being licensed and made propriertry. Here in Malaysia.. the World Cafe is relatively new but we are beginning to use it with corporate groups, non-govt. agencies and even in sessions involving multicultural issues. Thank you -thank you. thank you. Will write more later. with gratitude.... Patricia Nunis

Let's work to create a warm and safe space for us in order to share the things we really want.

Could not resist taking the opportunity to echo your sentiment and the amazement shared at the number of places from around the planet from where people are joining this now live online community!

I am humbled and encouraged by that very fact! Too often we let the medias fill our minds with what the people of the world think and what they are about..... The World Cafe presents us with a vehicle to share and get to know people while bypassing the conventional views of our fellow worldly citizens....

Thanx for speaking up of your amazement and hopes that such sharing can only lead to great things forward....

Norman
