Inner Climate Souk - Cafe Harvest

Aligned with COP15, and an international call for Inner Climate Villages, I organized and co-hosted with Sharon Moreham and Julie Arts, a multi-generational Inner Climate Souk in Lebanon in December 13th, 2009. Participants joined us from different parts of the country, high school students, teachers, notary, doctor, artist, psycho-therapist, journalist, employee, mother .....

An integrated process was designed. It included a World Cafe to spark insights and deeper connections before moving through a thread that took us all first into connecting with our physical bodies and its sensory perception, then creating our public and private spaces and interactions through process drama, before moving towards identifying sustainable practices in our daily lives, concluding with a candlelight circle check-out.

I share the harvest of the Cafe:

What am I carrying within me that can positively influence my well-being and the well-being of my surrounding?

Here are some of the harvested jewels within us that sparkle the brightest:

Love for life a basic drive
Be alive, eat, live and love life
Stay with the polarity of love and hate, a duality in strife
Integrated sensory perception
Alignment of feelings, thoughts and actions, in conjunction
Faith in possibilities for Change
Positive change starts with Self , the authentic front page
Be in touch with our inner spirits and resources
One Connected necklace: care, truth, inner peace, honesty, positive being, confronting the truth, the will for change; no pauses

Awareness of our ignorance, continual learning of our surroundings, make connections; to flow
Locating, meeting people in their environment, speaking their language; to know
Proactivity; transforming our jewels to a beam that lightens and colors our exterior, a glow
