As you know, I am committed to the mystery of this life and to passionately encouraging all to consider asking themselves and others "What don't I know yet that will help me lead a peaceful and fulfilling journey?"
Good to hear from you. Yes we were certainly at the same STIA conferences. I went to eight of the first ten, including the first one in 1991. Was a session assistant the last four. And then I presented at the 2011 STIA conference, one of my personal life goals. You and Juanita had a huge impact on us attendees with your world café process. Will never forget the STIA conference (I believe it was in San Francisco) when all 1000 attendees had a world café experience together. Very powerful. I have used it for my company's safety annual conference, and hope to use it again in with a national federal contractors networking group.
Hope all is well with you. Love Asheville. I am a home brewer, so I have enjoyed Wicked Weed and Sierra Nevada and other breweries there. Plan on retiring this spring and then head to the Outer Banks. Will be visiting Asheville from time to time.
Thank you, David. I have a son who lives in Greensboro. He went to Guilford and never left. I have visited often. It is a great state. You have spring, for instance, a season Maine overlooks, going rather directly from winter to summer.
I didn;t have much luck with the WC community in Chile but broadening my search may be the key..I am not that familiar with Humberto Maturna but being in Chile makes me feel obliged to learn more about this brilliant Chileno :-)
Thank you again for your interest in forum participants. My website is woefully out of date with none of my current clients and absent my growing interest in international work. I have been helping international organizations involved in strengthening democratic institutions and hope to continue that work as well as work with unions and non-profits in the US. I will at some point in the near future check out the WC communities and I know over time I will seek out support from you and others.
Thank you David for welcoming me to the community. I feel like I know you a little already from reading some of your experiences in Shaping Our Futures Through Conversations that Matter. And I have been fortunate to get to know Amy Lenzo and Bo Gyllenpalm over the last few months in a course on World Cafe at Fielding. So I also feel part of the community already and I look forward to deepening my relationships with members of the community and gaining a great deal more experience with World Cafes.
Hey David! Great to virtually meet! Yes, Dave Shaw and I have been collaborating on the World Cafe here at UC Santa Cruz, and we're still getting organized. Me, Jackie Roger, and Dave are the core right now, and we're really making an effort to put together an outreach team so we can make the Cafe run smoothly each week. How are the cafe forums on your end? I don't have a harvest to provide on our Mystical Cafe last week, unfortunately, but I hope to have a better organized recap of our next World Cafe :-)
Thank you for your connecting message. Maria Scordialos is already a good friend and a precious teacher. I participated last year in her Art of Participatory Leadership training. As for Sarah, I know her by name and fame. I will check the other 10.
Thank you for the welcome, David. I am familiar with the AI, I attended a day long workshop in Halifax, it was wonderful and I recommended their 2 day workshop to the CEO I was doing leadership work with and she went and received a lot for her challenging job. I am looking forward to this journey with the people in this group/cafe. mary
Hi David! Nice to hear from you. I will be glad to share my stories. Just have to dig through old files to find them. Do you have a separate online community for Wiser Together? I need some people to interview for an upcoming story and thought Wiser Together might be a good place to start.
