- If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
- I first learned of the world cafe methodology from a colleague in 2006 who lent me the book and fell in love with it! I planned and hosted my first cafe in 2007 with a group of community change practitioners working with the 10 cities involved in the Making Connections Initiative of the Annie E Casey Foundation. Since then I helped plan and hosted two other cafes. One to contribute to Obama's Platform for change when he was a candidate and another to host diversity dialogues in Arlington County, where I have lived for the past 17 years.
