Thanks for the question, Dr. Refaat, because we seem to be living in a time when the wisest questions are neglected or ignored, forgotten or even despised. I majored in Philosophy and then went on to receive a Masters to become a minister (I left the ministry for both philosophical and practical reasons). Now I make the daily attempt to practice what I call a "natural spirituality" that looks to Nature (the Cosmos that includes us) for the most practical teachings. I continue to teach, to write and to work with elders in a shared living environment. I have little patience for intellectualizing or spiritualizing the world or the human community. Much Philosophy and Theology seem little more than distraction from the critical needs of our world and the particular need to collaborate constructively across all borders and ideologies. If Philosophy means what I was first taught--"a love of wisdom"--I can participate. If it is another distraction into another world, I'm not there. I wish you well!

Philosophy and LIFE are one and the same and inseparable. Understanding Philosophy is Understanding LIFE. It is for us to poise our life to match with the Philosophy and not the other way around. There is no such thing called "NEW" in this world. Anything is only new to the new born.

Misunderstandings have surfaced basically since we get forced in our childhood and youth to catch up with past education, which is nothing but what was chewed n chucked by the past. We never want another Einstein to ever evolve, as we already force feed Einstein's work and force an appreciation out of the young. So where is the room for the future to think afresh ?
