- Hi Everyone! My name is Valerie Davisson, creator of "The Saturday Salon". Saw your website and wanted to congratulate everyone on creating and joining in meaningful conversations worldwide. My goal, through my website and book "Saturday Salon: Bringing Community and Conversation Back Into Our Lives", is to help people host evenings of great conversation on topics meaningful to them. - The book, Saturday Salon: Bringing Community and Conversation Back Into Our Lives, is available in ebook form and print versions, through my site and Amazon, iBookstore, Nook, etc.; but my website is a good place to get started. I update it frequently with hosting tips, new recipes, pictures of new Saturday Salons, etc. Anyone who hosts a salon and sends me pics and the topics they discussed could be the "Featured Salon" of the month! And if anyone lives in the Orange County area, I would be happy to help them host a Saturday Salon of their own.

I am so encouraged by "meeting" so many World Cafe members online who share the goal of increasing communication to solve problems in the world, but also, just to enjoy talking with each other. This is what my Saturday Salons are all about-dinner/discussion groups that bring people together to talk about whatever is on their minds.
