Hello! It's been years since you wrote, I took a leave. I have been working on my degree. I was in search of Anne for a chapter I wrote about the Circle of Seven, It was published but for a bit there, I was seeking advice from any of the Circle. They all seem amazing. I am back and ready to explore the site, especially since everyone else is watching Game of Thrones.
As you know, I am committed to the mystery of this life and to passionately encouraging all to consider asking themselves and others "What don't I know yet that will help me lead a peaceful and fulfilling journey?"
Good to hear from you. Yes we were certainly at the same STIA conferences. I went to eight of the first ten, including the first one in 1991. Was a session assistant the last four. And then I presented at the 2011 STIA conference, one of my personal life goals. You and Juanita had a huge impact on us attendees with your world café process. Will never forget the STIA conference (I believe it was in San Francisco) when all 1000 attendees had a world café experience together. Very powerful. I have used it for my company's safety annual conference, and hope to use it again in with a national federal contractors networking group.
Hope all is well with you. Love Asheville. I am a home brewer, so I have enjoyed Wicked Weed and Sierra Nevada and other breweries there. Plan on retiring this spring and then head to the Outer Banks. Will be visiting Asheville from time to time.
Thank you, David. I have a son who lives in Greensboro. He went to Guilford and never left. I have visited often. It is a great state. You have spring, for instance, a season Maine overlooks, going rather directly from winter to summer.
I didn;t have much luck with the WC community in Chile but broadening my search may be the key..I am not that familiar with Humberto Maturna but being in Chile makes me feel obliged to learn more about this brilliant Chileno :-)
Thank you again for your interest in forum participants. My website is woefully out of date with none of my current clients and absent my growing interest in international work. I have been helping international organizations involved in strengthening democratic institutions and hope to continue that work as well as work with unions and non-profits in the US. I will at some point in the near future check out the WC communities and I know over time I will seek out support from you and others.
Thank you David for welcoming me to the community. I feel like I know you a little already from reading some of your experiences in Shaping Our Futures Through Conversations that Matter. And I have been fortunate to get to know Amy Lenzo and Bo Gyllenpalm over the last few months in a course on World Cafe at Fielding. So I also feel part of the community already and I look forward to deepening my relationships with members of the community and gaining a great deal more experience with World Cafes.
