Host, I'm New to the World Cafe
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
I am studying for a Masters in Mediation and Work-based learning at Queen's University, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
I am Head of Counselling, Stress Management and Conflict Resolution in an NHS Trust in London.
I work creatively with groups and individuals and am currrently organising a Master Class in transformative mediation with Joseph Folger. We need to have meaningful and creative dialogues in times when econonomic drivers disempower both practitioners and service users.
I heard about World Cafe through my studies at Queen's and inspirational people like Margaret Wheatley from the Berkana Institute. I am always looking for innovative ways to deepen understanding through deep listening and conversation.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Health, Education
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
Conversations about the power of networking and dialogical processes.
Creatives processes such as Appreciative Inquiry.
My experiences in conflict resolution, working with groups and individulas.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Skills, knowledge and experiences.
Stories of struggles, successes and learning
I would like to find out about training events in the UK and communities of practice.
