Profile Information

Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
I'm New to the World Cafe
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
During web research on collective intelligence, collective knowledge and how it is applied. Searching for additional training in the discipline without getting a PhD in neurology or sociology. I am an experienced, active geologist and instructor who is frustrated with collective co-stupidity or our citizens and politicians/decision makers regarding any science related issue (which is most).
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Education, Corporate, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
Scientific knowlege, data gathering and analysis, develop best practices, communicate at-large how co-intelligence is beneficial to all, develop discipline-specific applications for groups. Educate and promote complex scientific principles to all citizens regardless of educational level and make Science Citizen-Friendly.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Become informed or trained to effectively practice and instruct others in co-intelligence and encourage others active participation in decision-making. Opportunities to promote my observations of existing patterns. Learn how others have creatively used diverse resources to improve science literacy of the global citizenry.
What haven't we asked that you'd like to share?
How to actively promote and develop sustaining interest in science, its virtual foundation to all modern choices and decisions to an educational and experientially diverse citizenry. Of particular those of disenfranchised or underrepresented groups. My goal is to de-emphasize differences of any particular group and facilitate success by respecting, valuing and leveraging individual differences/abilities. To encourage creativity, create synergy, risk taking and ownership of solutions within groups producing innovative solutions for ANY conflict or problem. How do we accomplish this on the individual level and foster its growth into our global culture? How do we convince the person who feels they have nothing to contribute because they perceive they lack the correct "qualifications" such as education, experience and so on?

Hi Ann Vasko, a warm welcome to this Community of Learning and Practice.

Great, i am very much resonating with what you are bringing forward! i wonder, do you know about Tom's Co-Intelligence Institute? and i also had to think of The Transitioner...
If you can take the time, it would be great to read an introduction about yourself here and see a placemark for Littleton in our new member map :)
I hope this place is inspiring you to have a look around for some juicy spots for you - and if you don't find something, please don't hesitate to start a conversation in the appropriate category...

Please let me know if i can help you here, best wishes,
Benjamin [Global Communications Team]
