"I recently did a World Cafe in Stroud (video link in my comment below)), Glouscestershire and will also be hosting a world cafe type cabaret at the 'Bank of Ideas' as part of Occupy London. Basically we are inviting a diverse group to come…"
Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I have many years of experience in facilitation and may be able to share some skills and experiences from a more general facilitation background that would help cafe hosts in their roles with groups. I work in the commercial world so can share ideas about how to position Cafe activities with hard nosed cynical business people!
What would you most like to receive from this community?
I saw from Barbara Evan's page that you are coordinating the Café UK group. Could you spread the word to your group about a World Café to be held on 26 October 2011 in London on the topic "Network Approaches to Leadership and Social Change"? This event is being held as a pre-conference workshop for an International Global Leadership Conference. The World Café will integrate the use of Pecha Kucha to present the latest reseach about network leadership. Here's the link with the description:Network Approaches to Leadership + Social Change
Look forward to hearing from you and connecting as friends!
Sorry you cannot join us, but fully understand. And as with any community, it takes a little while for things to get sorted out. As I've been skimming the postings of our European participants, I am struck with the rich diversity we have here. Our challenge is to find ways to build upon people's knowledge, experience and passions. Do you have any thoughts in how we might get more traction as a community?
We are happy to see you’ve joined our growing online community. If you’d like to join our European Salon to explore the topic: “Dialogue & Leadership: The New Face of Community?” we’d certainly be pleased to have you.
