- Hello Lisa...very good to hear from you. I have been a dialogue host for several years..my work is strength based so Appreciative Inquiry an important underpinning and I an enthusiastic practitioner of Future Search, Open Space and World Cafe. I love these passionate, learning communities. The majority of my work is now in the North West of the UK as I am working hard to reduce my carbon footprint and reckon I need to focus my work within a sustainable distance. I work from a whole systems perspective so I always have a very diverse set of stakeholders in the conversation...but the clients who call me in are usually government departments, local authorities, police, NHS...or other public of third sector agencies...My email address is [email protected] so we can communicate directly too. It would be good to meet up sometime soon because I move from Chester before Christmas.

How are you? I'm Maureen McCarthy, your new World Cafe mentor. Great to see you here! I've been a World Cafe facilitator for about 7 years and am good friends with Juanita and David who first created the World Cafe concept. I live in the US, in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina, although I'm originally from Chicago. I moved to North Carolina from Scotland after living there on and off for 5 years, so I've spent a lot of time in London and a few other parts of England.
The World Cafe concept is a remarkable large group dialogue tool that we use with our corporate and community clients, in many parts of the world, through our company Engaging the Soul @ Work. (www.engagingthesoulatwork.com) I love it for its simplicity and the complexity that it holds space for.
I had a chance to visit your website. What great work you're doing! Let me know how I can introduce you further into the world of World Cafe. It has drawn a truly remarkable caliber of people to it, all of whom have interesting stories and knowledge.
