- If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
- By mistake, believe it or not! I was searching for NPR's World Cafe and can upon this site. I love learning about new music from all over the world, I digress. I was intrigued by the mission, so I began researching a bit. I discovered this is exactly the type of people (group) I have been searching. It's actually quite difficult to find intellectual and stimulating conversation anymore!!
- What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
- Education
- What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
- My successful experience in the corporate world and the theatrical world.
- What would you most like to receive from this community?
- Fresh and innovative ideas that help to inspire. WHen you surround yourself with others, such as this, your mind opens and ideas flourish. Find ways to bridge the arts and business into a successful venture, to change the mindset that business-minded individuals have about art-minded people, to find a way to enable collaboration and communication between these two types of people.
- What haven't we asked that you'd like to share?
- Just yesterday, I was listening to an NPR interview regarding creativity. A particular moment resonated with me, when the interviewee explained how we need group thinking more than ever today. We need groups to help discover new ideas, since it is so much more difficult to be original. As he stated," all the low hanging fruit has been taken!" We need to stretch our minds to the ultimate limits as we never had to in the past. Collaboration is possibly the tool to do this.
