Event Description

Art of Hosting Social Innovation, Thailand, June 10-12, 2011.  People all around the world are learning how to work with what they have rather than complaining about what's missing.  Every community and organization has the resources and knowledge to begin living the future now.  The Berkana Institute ( has been working around the world with people and community-based organizations who are making a real difference.  What we've found, over the last decade, is that important work always begins with a better conversation.  Hosting conversations that matter is a key competency which is being developed through the the World Cafe Community and the Art of Hosting Community (  Working with processes like Theory U, materials like modeling clay, qualities like silence are all part of this new way of working.

The Berkana Institute is pleased to offer a three day training just outside of Bangkok.  Full details are in a PDF file downloadable with this link:

We hope that many people from around SE Asia will come to this event.  If you really want to be there and money is a primary obstacle, please send an e-mail to event coordinator Bob Stilger -- -- and we'll see what we can work out!

Dearest Muraya, so good to hear you here and to know you're at my back.  And Marcia -- that is a wonderful idea -- doing an Art of Hosting in Bali.  Some colleagues from University of Malaysia have expressed interest in doing one in KL as well.

Hello dear brother,

Thanks for the journal allowing us to share you travels, deep into Japan. Very insightful and informing.  I hope that, the timely, AoH SE Asia goes well.  Wish I could be there with you.  Sending continuous energy for creativity, inclusion and wisdom.  Do good work and travel well.
