Part of a Series? Closing event for a participatory process that included six focus groups, three idea workshops (each 1,5 days) and a marketspace meeting, in a period of six months.
Who Was The Café For? Citizens, policy-makers, politicians, researchers, staff of Mauthausen memorial site
Purpose: To engage the local population in shaping new approaches to commemoration and learning, related to the history of the concentration camps in the region and to the present and future
Numbers Attending: 100
Impact: Many ideas for continuing this participatory and inclusive approach to historical trauma and its healing were generated, citizens’ voices were heard and integrated into new proposals.
