The World Cafe Community

Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter

Hello cafe community,

I'm a Consensus Organizer who has become very excited about the cafe conversation process. I am ready to host my first conversation cafe in my community, but I'm feeling a little wobbly out here on my own! I've read the World Cafe book and I'm convinced that my community would benefit WILDLY from a conversation or two around questions that matter.

All I need is a little advice and guidance as I launch out on this cafe journey. I have a couple of specific questions but I'm not sure what would be the best way to ask them.

Please feel free to engage me. I'm raring to go!!

Thanks ahead of time for your support!!

I love how encouraging and easy-going the conversations on this site have been for me so far.

I have one remark regarding location - I see people asking one another where they are located in almost every conversation I read.

We can see where someone is located with one click on their face/name. We're brought to their profile, where we can see their location below their photo. I know it's a technical remark, but it seemed to be unlikely any of us would go visit a technical discussion over it :-)

Briana, thank you for your kind words. I would be glad to reach out a helping hand any time. TWC is a wonderful process and creates some much healing and learning. You are a guide and a mentor. Be yourself and the community will emerge. What never ceases to amaze me is how quickly bridges are built, and relationships forged. Enjoy.

John

Sorry for the lon waiting time - I'm so happy I just learned how I can see all of my ning memberships at once without logging on in 7 places! I just go to ning.com and log on there, and I can see all of my ning activities! Now...

I am in Seattle, WA 98103 (by the Zoo) where are you?
