Strategic World Cafe at Central Kentucky Presbytery

This from Howard Mason, responding to our recent request for World Café stories:

I was invited to work with the Central Kentucky Presbytery to develop strategies for their emerging future. Leaders recognized that church and the organizational units for support and governance would not be the same in the future as it had been in the past. They also recognized that the future was largely unknowable and emergent.

A strategic planning task force conducted a series of World Café conversations across the Presbytery using these questions:

• Picture the church community of your dreams. What do you see? Who do we serve? What are we to be?
  
  
• What parts of the church community of your dreams does your church already have?
  
  
• What are the most important things your church community can do now to create the church community of your dream?

Attached is a report I prepared with the harvest from those conversations and the plan that was proposed and adopted to go forward.
