World Café on Conflict De-Escalation

Some friends and I hosted a community conversation to celebrate the inspiring example of Antoinette Tuff, a woman from Georgia who successfully talked down a would-be school shooter. We wanted to create an opportunity for community members to reflect together on this theme, as well as the implications for our local community, and also to experience the power of the World Café format.

We had about 50 people in attendance, and participants were extremely happy with how the evening unfolded… Afterward one of the organizers mentioned that several other communities she is connected with, are now wanting to experiment with World Café as well...
