I do agree with Hamish, I attended the Art of Hosting Training at the Hub Berlin with the topic of "Breaking down your inner walls" and was given insights into diverse and multifaceted ways to harvest and am still harvesting from this training that took place almost a month ago

Highly Recommendable

Just spent 4 days with Toke Moller (Interchange Denmark) and Tenneson Woolf (Berkana) on the Art of Hosting & The Art of Harvesting, and would highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in playing with a blend of the social technologies, e.g open space, appreciative inquiry, world cafe.. plus a high focus on the 'harvesting' component.

They are off to run an event in Australia next week for anyone in that region....

how would we be able to hear/witness/have access to the conversations? would it be real time? in more of a post-reflection way? if real time i can envision listening in (even through a skype connection or something) and drawing locally (in my home office, for example) then posting an image to a shared viewing area...?

Would love for all of you to consider participating in a virtual cafe 14 Sept as part of the Dialogue and Leadership salon that will happen in Austria in October. What can we contribute to the conversation graphically, or otherwise, that we could share with one another and the community, online?

cool! i'd be interested and game to contribute and explore an online piece .... am very very keen to stretch boundary between face-to-face and virtual realms in groups such as this... tx for posting! Kelvy (graphic reflection examples)

I would love to invite all of you harvesters, capturers, photographers and creators to help us with a project! From 16-19 October 2009, a group of us will be hosting a gathering in Vienna Austria (see calendar and events for more info). there is also an online contribution - I wonder if anyone here in this group would like to participate in the online piece and be the graphic recorder for the conversations....what do you think about this idea?

I also want to share that for the first time, I captured the stories at the memorial service for my late father-in-law. It was a very interesting process and welcome your reflections and thoughts

I'd like to be a part of this group. I love to learn new ways to harvest. I've learned a lot from Chris Corrigan and the Art of Hosting community.

mmmmm. I love this! uncovering the complexity of what is involved in this harvesting process ...

I like to think of harvesting in the same way that we harevst food from the earth - there are trees to pick from, roots to dig up, berries to pick, vegetables on vines. Physically, we have to bend over, reach up, reach down, dig up, twist and turn. Harvesting with groups and for people is like - this for me. Sometimes music can work, painting, graphic capture, sunshine, darkness, light and quiet.

How it works for and with people is the part for me that is really emerging - the more we uncover about harvesting, the more we learn about how people interact, react and participate, we understand at a deeper level what the power is and what makes best practice

Good morning Chris, hey all, what is all in the harvesting process?! I'm very passionate in this kind of process - to make things, processes visible, in a way that is touching all senses to get/understand different aspects. In a way I would add in the title who is passionate about listening...
