I have taken part in about a dozen Talking Circles here in Nova Scotia.A sacred fire is the central focus of the circle.It has been perpared by a Pipe Carrier and helpers.Rocks are placed in the four direction and cardinal directions.These rocks are considered the Grandmothers and Grandfarthers as a part
ofour spirits connect to the earth and all creation.The words 'All My Relations" is a sacred invocation for blessing and protection.
The fire is lite by the Pipe Carrier and prayers are said to invite the Great Spirit and all those who love us in the Talking Circle.On the day of the Circle those in attendance re asked to not particate in red meat or Alcohol for four days.The circle of people use a "Talking Stick" This is a stick (mineis old root fro a tree that survived a hurricane "Wann"The stick has been blessed and kept ina red cloth until the time of the cerimony.It is usually blessed atthe fire of a POW WOW but it can be blessed in another fashion relivant to sacred traditions.The Stick represents our connection to all creation and intention through evolution of the consciousness of Creation as a Whole."ALL MY RELATIONS" GOD LIFE TIME DIMENTIONS and Intention or "WILL"
So we comnune with the Great Spirit in humility and cooperation,openmindedness and Unity in Purpose.Filling up the emptiness inside us in this way we change the World to reflect our intention. Hi there, Can any1 help me get started... I belong to a NGO along the Garden route, We have started talking circles in the area but I need alot more information and tips to make it a success. I'd like to know what every1 is doing in their areas. I can also be emailed on [email protected].
