I've been watching the story of Social Media evolve for a while now and have noticed a unique characteristic about where the community of World Cafe practitioners and Social Media intersect:…Continue
I’m new to the World Cafe, but thrilled to be here! I’ll be helping steward the World Cafe social media communications.
I live a simple mobile life between three vastly differing locations (Omaha, NE, Colombia & India) and love knowing my neighbors by name. When I was eleven I made my first mix tape sitting on my bedroom floor with my ear pressed to the boombox — and have found synthesizing music and poetry to be my truest form of communication. I’m proudly learning to commute by bike; sometimes I stop and walk up the hills. As Nina Simone sang, “do what you gotta do”.
I earned a bachelor’s degree from Taylor University in sociology/urban studies and have worn many hats since then. My work has included union, neighborhood and interfaith organizing, advocacy through social media and creative non-fiction writing, collaborative leadership and organizational development — all with the intent of creating the kinds of spaces that allow for authentic interaction and deep dialogue.
I’m now an insatiably curious solopreneur in the business of collaborating, consulting and convening with folks interested in better understanding, articulating and embodying their core values in creative ways. Most often my contribution takes the form of social media strategizing, circle and conversation hosting, and creative visioning.
Much of my insatiable curiosity revolves around how to prepare, create, enter and use space in a way that invites authentic communication and creative emergence — the exploration of these spaces is my life’s work.

I am new to Cafe Tables and seem like I am flying on my own her in Columbus, Ohio as I involve Millennials in Cafe Tables. We are in the process of forming our first Cafe Tables by involving Leadership Learning Circles. The Millennials I am mentoring are law students who are excited about the process.
I will certainly provide a follow up on our 1st Cafe Tables.
