The Shift of the Ages and those of us withe Disabilites

Hello all, I would like to ask a rather strange question. That is in all the talk about a change in our world whatever name you like to call it whether "the Shift of the Ages" Sustainability" or "Evolutionary transition" I have not heard how those with physical or mental disabilities are supposed to fit in and or be apart of these wonderful changes. It seems like no matter what type of society you live in or envision those with disabilities must remain isolated. Essentially I would like to…See More

I would like to contribute my experience as a disabled person. What would you most like to receive from this community?
I suppose the thing that I might receive from the Cafe would be better ideas on how I can use my albeit limited knowledge to help the larger communities incorporate those born with various disabilities into the fabric of life.

Dear Gary,

Welcome! How wonderful that you found us through Manish Jain's e-book! I co-authored that story, so am especially pleased it attracted your interest.

I'm also close to the world of disability myself, and think there is much to be gained by conversations between able bodied and disabled folks.

May I ask the nature of your "disability"?

I'm really glad you are here, and think you'll find much to give & receive with others here. Perhaps you'd begin by contributing to the community Introductions and share a bit about your interests?

Warm Wishes,

Amy
