- hmmm...seems like just another place for idle chit-chat and endless sophistry. An academic delight! Far from developing a truly engaging habituation to the vast. Best to go to the Arctic and meditate there...observe the ice melting along the shores of Davis Strait...or watch TV or the Internet and drink 'global cafe' in a cozy Inuit igloo. Sophistic circles in the sand go round and round...how many of you live in a ger tent or igloo? How many of you ever venture into the remote corners of the world without an SUV or a 747 to take you there? :) Chatter in the Global Village. Marshall McLuhan had a better idea...look in the rear view mirror...discover what the artist is pointing to concerning the future...they have the wisdom and deeper insights. Science, unfortunately--failed--when it romantically developed the Industrial Revolution...as it has clearly demonstrated itself to be a 'failed experiment'. It would have been wiser to have stayed in the paleolithic era...less damaging on the environment...and we could have avoided mass extinctions...our own possibly.
