I understand the frustration of not getting a response. There isn't really an automatic way to connect with the whole community beyond what you've done - but one thing you might explore is contacting people in your geographic area directly. You'd do an advanced search on New Orleans, like I did here, and then contact each of them with your invitation. In doing the search I think I see why we're having this issue... there are only two people in this community who live in New Orleans. So ... you might expand the search perimeters to the state or even look a bit larger.
