Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
Host, Participant
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
I've known about world cafe for decades, and incorporated it in various ways in my community facilitation work, and recently re-connected because (over the last 15 years!) I've become increasingly frustrated with how little we use these tools ... especially in this era of catastrophic climate change.
Finding it unbelievable how the Transition Movement, my own International Permaculture community and so many other supposedly ecological / re-localization networks keep promoting incredibly expensive, exclusive (and ultimately very ineffectual, also) big 'conferences' ... instead of designing much more intelligent world-wide systems to increase & harvest collective intelligence.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Education, Online, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
Glad to share my facilitation experience, also ecovillage / community building.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Advice on how to increase online collective intelligence / participative democracy, support in my own struggles with bringing these tools to my communities and work. THANKYOU for being here and doing this very valuable work!
Bienvenida a la Comunidad Online del World Café. Vi tu proyecto en Canarias. QUe inspirador! Me encantaría saber más, también soy permacultora y siempre es un honor conocer gente que se siente "guardiana de esta tierra!
There are some groups here that you may like to explore... and I'd love to hear more about your interest in collective intelligence online. I've been producing online events with this intention for several years now, and am hosting one starting June 2nd called Activating Collective Wisdom. It's not about activating collective wisdom online per se, but that's what we'll be doing. :-) Here's a link to my website weDialogue - let me know if you have any questions, or if I can help you in any way here.
Also - you are warmly invited to join us for one of the monthly online Community Cafes - the next one is May 10th. More Information about each one is always in the Calendar here.
