Hosting Conversations about Questions that Matter

I'm about to fly to Brazil to carry on education development in their state school system. What a challenge! Channelling resources and expertise within such need is a daunting task - but, why not me and why not now? I've been struck by how often we can desire a reason to join in, a 'word' from someone, permission from the boss. If I don't get involved who will? I feel like that proverbial drop in the ocean but I think other drops just may join in and, who knows, we may have a trickle, a stream, maybe one day an ocean current affecting educational ecosystems around the globe.

dear Phil, do you know the Japanes school project Children Full of Life (1 of 5) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=armP8TfS9Is&feature=related
"In the award-winning documentary Children Full of Life, a fourth-grade class in a primary school in Kanazawa, northwest of Tokyo, learn lessons about compassion from their homeroom teacher, Toshiro Kanamori. He instructs each to write their true inner feelings in a letter, and read it aloud in front of the class. By sharing their lives, the children begin to realize the importance of caring for their classmates."
If you can't find it on youtube, let me know I send you the link directly to your email, if you wish so. It's one of the most touching project I came across.
Good success to you and your travel and the Brazilian kids
