Greetings,
My name is Luis Teodoro Gutierrez, 66, Cuban-American, retired after 35
years in non-green jobs, active in sustainability research since the
1970s (PhD dissertation on ecosystem response to commercial use, Georgia
Tech, 1974). My retirement project is doing some independent research
and publishing a free monthly journal on sustainable development with
especial focus on nonviolence.
At the moment, I am working on an online survey about education for
sustainable development. The goal is to determine how citizens can best
be motivated to support (via the democratic process) changes to the
current system of economic incentives so as to remove/reduce incentives
that lead to short term gains, environmental damage, and violence, and
replace replace them with a new system of economic incentives that lead
to short term well-being, nonviolence, and long term sustainable
development? Everyone is cordially invited to participate.
