Virtual World Cafe??

Hi Mel,

I see that this conversation is actullay about a year old now. Did you convene a virtual conversation?

I use World Cafe as a method quite a lot and both facilitate virtually and teach virtual facilitation - with a colleague. I would love to hear where you are at with this conversaiton.

Yes this is an old conversation. I have not had the chance to try a World Cafe, virtually or otherwise. I do teach a MBA course on ilne about Organization Change for a US University. I design and deliver webinars as well using Adobe Connect. I know the World Cafe is doing telephone conference conversations but I think a platform like Adobe Connect offers a broader range of possibilities.

Thanks for the wake up call Marenza.

I think the platform I use for webinars, Adobe Connect, offers the best possibilities for something that would come close to a face2face World Cafe conversation. You can actually have people gathering in their own break out rooms or tables and then gather in another room for the summarizing of data. I have checked out many platforms and this is the most powerful and flexible I have found.

Hello Mel,

To have this meeting on Adobe Connect, you will need to explain to everyone how to access this platform so we can practice. I will look for it myself. We will need to "gather" people and inform them about this meeting in advance.
