Hi Allan,

Ning has it's limitations, like most technology :-) but we did a lot of research to find what would work best for us... and for us it is the best platform in that it has all the specific functionality we need and gives lots of room for creativity in the design, translation and modifiable language, etc. In my opinion their newest version is much better than the old one we have, and one of frustrating things for me is that Ning hasn't created an easy switch - in other words we can't just easily move what we have here to the newer version.

So - I think the answer to your question depends on what you want to use it for... Please let me know if you find something you think is better because we are planning to move everything to the new version manually soon and if there is something better out there now's the time for us to switch! :-)

Best of luck!

Warmly,

Amy

Hi Allan, a warm welcome to this Online Community of Learning and Practice.

Great that you joined! I am sure this space holds inspiration for your plan on applying the World Café on community development! I hope you can take the time to have a look around and find the spots of your interest. If the right thread is not there yet you can also start a discussion.
Also it would be wonderful to read an introduction about you in the area we created for this here :)

May this space serve you well Allan.

Please let me know if i can help you here, best wishes,
Benjamin [Global communications team member]
