Hi Lisa.. and welcome to The World Cafe online community of learning and practice. the largest group of people here have a focus on "education" .. by scanning the members, you can find people to connect with on your intererests. You might click on Lina Kramer and her work on Parent's Cafes. Also, see groups, blogs, and World Cafe stories!

be well,

Sorry Lisa, I just noticed your question about online events...

We don't currently have anything set up to "teach" how to host World Cafes online but I will be co-hosting a series of them in the next months, starting in December, and you would be very welcome to come. I do plan to produce a learning journey specifically for experienced World Cafe hosts who want to host online at some point, though. Probably in 2015.

In the meantime perhaps we could talk, and you might even be interested in participating in the December event program (which will be a Wiser Together Online Cafe), since it will be focused on multi-generational collaborative leadership, and your work in high schools may be relevant.

I'll be in Europe for most of October but if you'd like to talk more about this when I return in early November, I'd be happy to. You can reach me at [email protected]

In the meantime - share some stories! :-) I look forward to hearing more from you...

Warmly,

Amy

Lisa,

Welcome! (I'm sorry for the delay approving you - I thought I'd already done it!)

Your works sounds really great - please share the stories about what you're doing with World Cafe in high schools - that would be so inspiring for others. You might want to connect up with Don Proffit at some point, as he also hosts World Cafes in high schools, as well as with younger students.

Warmly,

Amy
