Zoomlion World Cafè, Changsha (China), July 12th, 2013

I am aware that sometimes trying to summarize emotions, thoughts, feelings and even the discussions in words is a quite challenging and not productive endeavor. So, summarizing in a few words the Zoomlion World Cafè event of July 12th is definitely a challenge for me. Maybe it will be easier for those who participated in the event to catch in the following words something that they recognize. For those who were not there, I hope that, without a full understanding, their curiosity can be somehow…See More

What would you most like to receive from this community?
I am currently working in and for a Chinese company and we enjoyed the World Cafè approach in one event (and hopefully also in future events). The cultural environment is deeply Chinese, Hunan province, i.e. no experience in such type of "social technology". Any suggestion useful to make this inspirational from a Chines perspective will be welcome and appreciated..

For the future: I'd like to make use of this approach in my commmunity, in the educational sector.

In the process, I am meeting fantastic people, learning many rich new things, living wonderful "normal" experiences. The Wolrd Cafè is one of the few I have met on my route and I feel quite happy for this, I feel it as very transformational...

Welcome Delfino!

Your projects sound fascinating!

You may be interested to know that there is a Chinese translation of the World Cafe book (follow the link to find it). I was able to meet with the translators and publishers in Bejing a few years ago; they are part of a large association of professionals using World Cafe (and other social technologies) in China. You might also want to connect with Stephen Meng and/or Samantha Tan, both of whom are experienced World Cafe hosts working extensively in China.

There is also a group specifically for Italianos here in the online community and you would be welcome to join!

I'm very glad you are here, and hope you will keep me/us updated about how your work/life is evolving in general and what happens for you with World Cafe in China in particular.

Warmly,

Amy
