- If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
- My entry into the 'dialogue and deliberation' community came through National Issues Forums (NIF). World Cafe addresses critical conversations with a compatible methodology, so I'm interested in creating some new partnerships in real life and in Second Life.
- What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
- Online, Government, Community
- What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
- I'm currently working to create a 'Deliberative Practice' in the virtual world of Second Life. World Cafe already has a presence in Second Life, so I'm hoping to create more interest in deliberative conversation with World Cafe folks. During the past 10 years, I've become pretty skilled in issue framing, fine-tuning deliberative methods and small-group facilitation.
- What would you most like to receive from this community?
- I'm interested in whatever partnerships might emerge...looking for insights on effective conversation methods and new ways to engage people in public policy decision-making.
