Hello Cliodhna and others,
You write: "At the heart of this is the consciousness that the host or hosts bring(s) with them or embody..." I think this is realy true!
And the depth of experience for the participants can only be amplified if…
Hello Christine...from the bank of Lough Erne in Ireland...where, in tune with the seasonal energy I am hibernating through the dark winter months with the rest of life, awaiting clearness on the very question you ask amongst other…
I've viewed all 215+ members. There are surprisingly few in Canada and are far from where I'm located. I find my virtual mates in this online community.
You could check the members of this online community and also on the AoH online community, to see if there are some in your neihborhood; you might be surprised!
Yes, Ria, "mates" are necessary and would be very welcome. I've been looking locally here in my area (Peterborough, Canada). At the same time, I'm hoping that by practising/modelling AoH, Circle etc. others will learn and…
Good work Cheryl! and if this work continues, I wonder if you have any 'mates' in your neighborhood? In Art of Hosting we use to say 'find your mates', meaning you need a field (more than one person) to host a field... of course…
"wHO we are, the people that are here, and what is the high topic that would be relevant to us to put in a aconversation?
Taking into account, the people that are together on a conversation, the the fact of the relations among that human system…
Huge appreciation to Kaj, Ria and Cliodhna! Kaj, the Generative Conversations piece is beautifully complementary to Compassionate Communications training I'm undertaking. Ria, you got me to the right focus on Purpose and that helped things fall…
I think there are four important questions in the pre-design phase:
Who?
Why?
How?
What?
In general I think the Who should include all the people who has to has to support the realization of the solutions. In strategy processes this is mostly…
For me the art is to catch the natural flow of the conversation...to sense what is wanting to emerge...not to force pace, shape or content(especially before you have a sense of where the call to this conversation is coming from) ...from the very…
First thought: I think you should engage in a conversation with your client - or a little core group of them - about what is the purpose of the next step/session. From there more will fall into place. It is not yours to decide, in my opinion. I…
Thanks, Ria! The "purpose", as you point out, IS the 'unanswered' about this next session. The purpose of the 1st session was simply a conversation to get to know one another better and begin to think about working more…
Cheryl, could they invite more of the stakeholders or their network to engage all of them in a conversation around these questions? All depends on what is the purpose of the next step of course. Pro Action café - as the word says - is…

Christine, I am new tp World Cafe. Juanita suggested contacting you as a contact in Arizona. As director of a Montessori charter school in Tucson I am envisioning a world cafe to discuss questions related to sustainability of our learning community and how we adults can provide a model of peaceful collaboration for our children. I would love to hear more about your work in Arizona and the world cafe in Arizona. Thanks. Nirvair Khalsa, Khalsa Montessori School.
Hi Christine. Thanks for welcome me to the Strategic Collaboration group. I'll check it out and follow up later. I am on an extended vacation away from Phoenix until September 1, but I will be checking emails regularly. Blessings! Deidre
Hi Christine, thanks for the welcome. Well I didn't say the clothes were cheap! But they are much commented upon. Personally I wait for the sales, it makes a little difference anyway! Might be cheaper to just go to Peru, all the best Sarah
I have been checking on the MSC group for a little while. I actually just left an article on OD on there that I really liked.
Right now I'm proposing an AI, World Cafe approach for Board development to AzCAA that I'd love to talk with you about. Take good care and we'll hopefully talk soon! Best, Ben
Hi Christine, would have loved to meet up with you in London on the 5th but am unfortunately working in the north that day. enjoy your trip! Best, Janine
Thank you - I am leaving for a documentary film fest in Missouri tomorrow but will join now and wander through the MSC site as soon as I get back. BTW, we did try out the world cafe conversations with the law school externs and they leaned into conversations quite easily...much opportunity for debrief improvement in hindsight but we got enough good feedback to try again.
I hope you found shoes for Wales! :) Enjoy your time there...Regina
Done! I look forward to being part of the group. Had lunch with Michele, Regina & MJ today, and my husband, Peter, joined us, too. Great conversation on using MSC in schools. Thank you so much for an awesome workshop and bringing us all to together. Sharon
Christine - my email is ty@tyfrancis.org and my mobile number in the UK is 07774 171830 (international is +44 7774 171830). Great that you know Maria - I had a great meeting with her and Jim when I was last in CA (my favourite place on the planet :)
Go well Christine...
