Christine - nice article. At the end of the article, it mentions a packet about using Open Space that the Girl Scouts have put together for people to use at home. do you know if that packet is available?

What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I have been using World Cafe in numerous settings for about 4 years and find it very adaptable and user friendly and fun.

I'm currently involved in looking at how to use technology to support learning communities in our state & want to explore the use of technology to facilitate Word Cafe conversations.

I also use the concepts and principles of Asset-Based Community Development in my work and find that it has shaped my perspectives in alomst any situation.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
connecting with others who use world cafe, particularly around the use of technology.

My current favorite quote:

I believe we an change the world if we start listening to one another again... simple, truthful conversation where we each have a chance to speak, we each feel heard, and we each listen well. - Margaret Wheatley

Hi Deb

I am a great fan in ABCD teach it all the time in helping churches reach out to urban under-served neighborhoods. Start with assets not needs. When start with assets you build on whats there, but when you start with needs you are stuck as the provider to fill the needs. Assets build people's ownership while needs build dependence. Go for it
