The World Café applied to methods development - some experiences

Dear all -My name is Hans-Juergen Stenger, I am new to the World Café Community. For quite a long time I have been working as responsible architect for the methods used in consultancy, solutions and services business of a multi-national IT corporation. We developed methods in a workshop-centric approach with colleagues from around the world and we begun early to experiment with the World Café. It turned out to be very successful for our collective learning & creation endeavor, especially…See More

Please indicate World Café experience in one or more of the following roles.
Host, Participant
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
I am new to the WC community, yet not to this technique. I knew of the existence of this community by referencing to the web site through my prior work. I follow the dialogue and conversation techniques since the times of the System Thinker journal.
IF YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVE; in what field is the primary focus of your World Café work?
Education, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I've done a lot of workshop facilitation and small group cooperation in my prior corporate business life, also using the WC approach on several workshops with good success. - Now I begin a new period addressing creative, organic cooperation for work groups, SMEs and NGOs, maybe extending it later to community work. - I'll be happy to share my experiences!
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Inspiration and experiences on what can be done with the WC approach; when and how it can be used, and how it can contribute to a mindshift for building a more cooperative and sustainable world.

Hans-Juergen,

Have you been finding your way around the community ok? There are a couple of German-speaking groups here that you may want to connect with. A great place to start is one created by my friend in Dresden Ulrich Seoder.

Warmly,

Amy
