I'm New to the World Cafe
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
Since 1997 I've been interested in Large Group Intervention (LGI) methodologies. Somehow, somewhere I once read about you, visited your site long ago. But only in the last few months I've been engaged reading the World Cafe book.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Corporate, Online, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I am a physicist by training, with graduate studies in geophysics from UC, Berkeley, and MBA from USC. Although I'm not a practitioner, for a long time I've been interested in LGI methodologies as a way to foster community and social transformation. I'm familiar with Open Space(OST). Recently I begun studying Theory U, World Cafe and Peter Block's Community: The Structure of Belonging.
I am open to online collaboration if face-to-face meetings are not possible.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Support in how to use World Cafe and other large group intervention methodologies to change a whole country: Venezuela.
Would you like to share a Web or Blog address?

Thanks so much for your perspective, Jose.

We will definitely be moving lots of the material (mostly the stories) from this site either to the World Cafe website, or the new Community Table.

Tell us more about the option - we'll be happy to look at possibilities like this.

Maybe we can continue the conversation by email? Here's the address

Marxe, gracias por la bienvenida! Little misunderstanding regarding Peter Block. There is no such thing as a Peter Block´s Community that I´m aware of. What I meant to say was that I'm studying Peter Block's book: "Community: the Structure of Belonging" where he summarizes all the main characteristics and nuances of the LGI methodologies that create community. I will be posting my own summaries of his book.

Pues bienvenido, José, es un gusto tenerte por aquí. Leyendo en tu Muro, vi que estás trabajando en la comunidad de Peter Block. ¿Dónde podría saber más de eso?
