I have a design company called ARC Design. I believe that a sustainable community is best served by acting and trading locally.
The cornerstone at ARC Design is to increase the development of the community by using local resources in our design projects. ARC is an acronym for Art, Resource and Craft. In the spirit of the British Arts and Crafts movement in Victorian England, we have nurtured relationships with local artisans in a networked guild, and we encourage collaboration in the design and building process. Arts and craft have been central to humanity for millennium. The thread of those crafts connects us to our histories and to our cultural and regional diversity. www.arc-design.com.
I am a founding member of Living Guild. Living Guild is a consortium of professionals focused on incorporating different fields and skills to work on Positive Development and building projects large and small. The vision of Living Guild is to bring social, economic and ecological value to any project using Living-systems principals that enrich the development, the community and the environment. www.livingguild.com.
