Hello Janita,
I heard about this method in 2007 from the Technical Secretariat in Vienna of the EU programme Interreg, they organised a world cafe in Bologna and I participated. From that moment when I write a project or I coordinate one I always…
Hello Loredana,
Welcome to the world cafe community. We're happy to have you and would love to learn more about your experiences, as we only have a few members here from Italy.
How did you learn about the World Cafe and might you be open to…
Hi Loredana,
In my other area of interest - the use of evaluation as a management tool - I have had made a lot of contacts with people and organizations in the environmental field here in Germany. I would be happy to introduce you to any of my colleagues in this area if it would be helpful to the success of your proposal. I used a World Café to help plan a new National Park Visitor Center with 20 different stakeholder groups. It was quite a challenge but in the end created a consensus among the groups which has had lasting impact. Most of the groups are still actively cooperating with the new facility. Please keep me in the loop about the developments of this interesting project since it is of interest to me not only as a World Café afficionado but as a consultant active in improving communication in exhibitions and programs in the environmental field as well.
Sorry that we won't be able to meet in Prague but there'll be other opportunities to meet!
Warm regards from Munich,
Pat
Hi Lordeana,

You can visit the European Salon group here in the community and I think there is also going to be a teleconference from there on Maestro, this wonderful new conferencing platform where you can do World Cafes just as if you were face to face. Quite wonderful,
Buon Giorno Loredana,
I am interested to hear more about your use of the World Café in the cultural field since I work with museums and cultural institutions. Since my introduction to the Worls Café, I have used it in a number of ways with cultural institutions. I have used it a number of times to formulate the purpose, goals, values and messages of new institutions as a a foundation for their on-going development. I also hosted a World Café in the City Museum in Dresden which brought historians together to discuss how to utilize the historical sources on the city more accessible to its public. This World Café is also documented on YouTube. Here's the link in case you missed it:
You asked about other World Café activities. There is an interesting series of events taking place in Prague next month. A group of Europeans interested in the World Café will be getting together on 10 Nov in Prague to share stories and experiences with each other. We are also hosting a World Café on Corporate Social Responsibility as part of a Global Leadership Conference being held by the International Leadership Association. This will be a very special World Café because it will be held in an Art Nouveau building which is a Czech National Heritage site! Let me know if you're interested and I can send you some detailed information.
How lucky you are to live in the countryside around Venice! That part of the world is not that far from Munich so hopefully we'll be able to meet personally sometime soon.
Saluti cordiale from sunny Munich,
Pat
