Come out of Plato's Cave

I’m just checking in to see what condition my condition is in.A fact is an assumption and/or belief that has not been proven false ... at least not yet. The underlying problem to the symptoms that we are being told are the problems is the belief that perception is reality. Reality exists and is for us to discover. Profound knowledge is discovered in the interplay between truth and belief. As long as we keep holding on to the belief that society is the collective sum of it parts rather than a…See More

Profile Information

Please indicate your World Café experience (ONLY IF YOU HAVE ACTUAL WORLD CAFE EXPERIENCE) in one or more of the following roles:
I'm New to the World Cafe
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
In a quest to recreate conversations that I used to share with my mother to use as a model for conversations with others, I came across World Cafe: Conversations that Matter as a result of internet search. I was blown away by the similarities of those conversations with my mother ... the elegant simplicity of purposeful truth seeking. I purchased and read the book and was convinced.
What field is the primary focus of your World Café work (ONLY CHECK AREAS WHERE YOU ARE ALREADY ACTIVELY USING WORLD CAFE PLEASE)?
Health, Education, Corporate, Religion, Online, Government, Community
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
The most scholarly individuals are not necessarily the wisest individuals. Does anyone remember wisdom? Does anybody really care? Big brains have joined the sensationalized pornographic ranks of massive mammary and giant genitalia ... we've lost perspective ... we've subordinated cause to correlation ... wisdom to pragmatism ... thought, feeling, experience, and responsible action to sensation and association.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
Perspective, inspiration, access to new opportunities of expression.
All human beings are potentially divine,
Striving in concert, mind and spirit find truth.
A life worth living is continually defined
In the waters of wisdom's fountain of youth. - Todd Wolf
What haven't we asked that you'd like to share?
Question: What do you see as a barrier to conversations that matter?
Perspective: The perfect imperfection that is life, is realized in the relationships and interactions of the forces of polarity (Good/Evil, Hot/Cold, Up/Down) and our perception of them in terms of being dynamic and/or static (Chaos/Organization, Diversity/Unit, Radical/Conventional). So the problem of our time is creating the conditions for the emergence of order in the chaos, not controlling it.

It's wonderful to have you here, Todd!

I am very interested in following some of the threads you've introduced, and I look forward to seeing how you manifest your interests here and to connecting with you over them...

My own focus has been on the online application of these principles, and I notice you joined the Online World Cafes group, so am assuming that is also an interest of yours... am I correct, or are you just curious? :-)

Welcome Todd, great that you joined this World Cafe Online Community of Learning and Practice.

I love the enthusiasm and wisdom you show on your profile! Bows to you and your mother having found a deep pattern of meaningful conversations!! And yes, the information about those basic human architectures are in the field... and who listens is able to build on those vibrations.

I invite you to write an introduction about yourself in the area we created for this. It will be a nice entry point for you into this community.

May this space serve you well...

I am here for you if you have questions about the online space, best wishes,
Benjamin [Global Communications team member]
