Profile Information

Please indicate World Café experience in one or more of the following roles.
I'm New to the World Cafe
If you are new to the World Cafe, would you please share how you heard about this community?
Through my husband Paul Hughes
In what field is the primary focus of your World Café work?
Community, n/a
What knowledge, skills or resources would you like to contribute to the World Café community to help it grow and flourish?
I have been developing Architecting Interaction (c),
a philosophy of architecture and design that explores human interaction on a scale of intervention (from urban design to architecture, interiors and products),
through investigating:
how can we design human environments that encourage, support and even trigger interaction
to create a communal experience of collaboration, cooperation and co-creation?
Far from aiming to design interaction itself (which defies its very raison d’etre),
the focus is on creating the context, the environment and render it fertile enough for interaction to emerge and blossom.
From the moment I discovered the World Cafe, I instantly saw significant overlap of interest and vision.
What would you most like to receive from this community?
interaction and collective wisdom
Would you like to share a Web or Blog address?
http://www.stephanieakkaoui.com
What haven't we asked that you'd like to share?
I believe there could be great value in a collaboration that would join my and the World Cafe efforts, in terms of trying to maximize people's interaction through the implementation of optimised spatial guidelines, so I'd like to help!

Hi Stephanie, welcome to you in this Community of Learning and Practice.

Oh, that sounds interesting! I guess you've came across Christopher Alexander's Pattern Language? A field that i am currently very interested in.

"Rendering environment & context fertile enough...", now that's a really cool formulation that i haven't heard before!! :) How did you see "to render" fit in here?

Maybe you can write a short note about yourself in our introduction-section?

And if you upload a profile picture i can add you to our collage.

Please let me know if i can help you here, may this space serve you well,

Benjamin | Global Communications Team
