To my mind, it would seem that 'Methods for Strategic Collaboration' would be an area that would be attractive to teachers.

I wonder how to attract and engage teachers in learning more about this?

Are there any video documentaries on this I wonder? I will search (YouTube?) and would be happy to hear from you if you have suggestions.

Thanks for the heads up, Ben.  Looks like it just needed the backslash?

Would love for you to join.  Is the stretch time or resources or both?

There's a syntax error in your eventbrite link, Christine.  Try this:

Would love to join you, but it would be a big stretch!

Hello Everyone,

I would appreciate your comments!  I'm on a panel this Sunday at the Organization Development Network Conference, with Billie Alban, Barbara Bunker, Harold Shinsato and Jacquie Peter.  The focus of the panel is The Next Generation: Large Group Method Listservs as "Communities of Practice".

Responses to any or all of the questions below would be much appreciated and I will pass them along to the conference participants.

  1. What is your favorite thing about this virtual World Cafe Community space?
  2. What have been the upsides and downsides of the Ning platorm?
  3. Describe the difference between your experience as a member of the World Cafe Community since our virtual connection moved from a listserv to a Ning.
  4. What are you learning as a member of this Ning community?

Warm wishes from a warm fall afternoon,

Hmm.  This area of innovation is very interesting to me.  I don't think I'll make it to the workshop, but I am very interested in this particular genre of innovation.  I hope to follow along and learn...

Thanks Christine,

Hi All,

I've posted an new event in the calendar.  Please feel free to forward or post to anyone you think might be interested.

Cheri Torres and I will be offering Building Strategic Capacity in the Age of Innovation on June 18-20, 2012 in Sioux Falls, SD, USA.

A workshop hosted by Sanford Health

All sectors of our society—healthcare, education, business, and government—are facing enormous challenges today - calling for the adoption, implementation and sustainability of tomorrow’s philosophy and infrastructure. The Information Age and continuous improvement provided us with philosophies and tools for working with data and standardizing processes; it created an economy that is based on the manipulation of information.  This Age is morphing and expanding into the Innovation Age where the norm is continuous change. We are being called to create new frames of mind and approaches that lead to human transformation, collaboration, and innovation as a way of working.

Join Innovation Partners International in June

Develop your ability to respond positively and effectively to continuous change and to build your capacity to engage your members in innovation. You will expand your understanding and ability to:

  • Engage members of the organization in collaborative innovation in response to continuous change and challenge.
  • Reframe problems so that efforts result in rapid and innovative solution-finding.
  • Facilitate small and large groups in strategic planning, systems change, and innovation.

Learn to use these methods and tools to inspire innovation:

  • i2 Inspired Innovation
  • The Mobius Spiral
  • Open Space Technology
  • World Café
  • Polarity Mapping
